Fall is here, which means it’s time to check out what’s new at the most influential sneaker brands.
Fall sneakers usually feature earthy or neutral tones that can be coordinated with the rest of your outfit. With the weather getting colder, ankle support on mid and high tops not only keep your feet warm and dry, but they provide more comfort compared to spring and summer shoes.
Converse, Nike, and Jordan Brand have recently launched their latest designs that you can now order online. Some take a more neutral design that suits everyone, while others take a bolder step, taking inspiration from Japan’s bullet trains, or some of the OG model sneakers – with a bit of a facelift.
So whether you’re a sneakerhead looking to add to your collection or just in the market for some new shoes for the season, here are all the latest fall sneaker drops.
The Converse All-Star Chuck Taylors were the first mass-produced basketball sneaker in North America, dating back to 1917.
These Chuck 70s are made with a GORE-TEX material, designed to keep your feet dry as we transition into autumn without deducting points on style. GORE-TEX is a favored-by-many-outdoorsy-folks material used for waterproof shell jackets while still keeping it’s breathable capabilities. Choose between Cedar Bark/Egret/Black or blacked-out colors themes. On the side is the bold GORE-TEX label, which is a nod to Everest expedition suits, while the overall style still shares that timeless vintage feel that can be incorporated with different outfits.
Influenced by Japan’s bullet trains, the Nike Air Max 97 brings the design of various vintage Nike Air Max logos scattered across the toe and side of the shoe in a subtle grey that contrasts well against the crisp white tones. The highlighted green in the laces and sole of the shoe compliment the otherwise neutral shoe, striking the perfect balance of standing out without being over complicated.
As often the best sneakers do, this Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid takes a note of a heritage design, yet modernizes it for everyday wear. With soft cushioning and a flexible sole, you get full mobility with ankle support. The mid tops can complement any fall outfit, whether it’s paired with Dickies, classic Levis, or even shorts for the odd spell of warmer weather.
As part of their sustainability journey, Nike has created the Crater Impact that is super lightweight and is made with 25% recycled materials. With the famous Nike swoosh embroidered on the side and the Crater foam midsole that subtly cushions your every step, these shoes replicate the popular outdoor trail sneaker aesthetic at an affordable price.
The Air Jordan 1s are a style that will live on forever. Every time a new design comes out, they take inspiration from one of the former models, making it the ideal shoe to collect and look back on. Hop on the latest colors released.
This pair of Air Jordan 1 Mid Shoe injects a similar style to some of the earlier models with a subtle Hemp/Gum Yellow/White theme. The clean aesthetic and retro design will be the talk on the court this month.
With tones that echo the fall season’s color palette, the Air Jordan 5 takes a new turn, releasing the ‘Orange Blaze’ design. The bold Sail leather clash against the tactile mesh that’s featured on the pair of shoes was an oddly bold move, which paid off wonderfully. Easily the most recognizable stand-out feature is the sole, with an orange midsole and speckled shark-teeth giving an aggressive look to the sneaker. And if that’s not bold enough for you, they even light up at night, just flash a camera against them and the 3M reflective tongue will shine back at you.
Made from 100% sustainable materials, the Nike Air Vapormax 2021 FK is super comfy due to the characteristics of the Flyknit fabric and it has a soft collar that molds to your ankle. No Nike is complete until it’s featuring the instantly recognizable swoosh stitched onto the fabric. The TPU heel clip is also made from recycled material and adds soft cushioning to every step and a floating illusion at first glance.
